Quotations

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back. - Unknown

Baking

Last night at like 10ish I went to my sisters house to take her and her roomies blood pressures for school. Paula had been volunteered by her co-workers to make like 90 popcorn balls all tied cute and a dessert (peanut butter bars). I of course had Em with me who had a short nap but late enough it threw off her bedtime, plus she doesn't sleep anyway!! Anyway, to the point! I ended up staying and helping tie ribbon on the popcorn balls while Paula tried to hurry and make the desert. Tried to hurry is the operative word... she let Em help which adds a lot more work! Oh well, Emma had a blast stirring and pouring ingredients. She loves her Auntie Lala.

Cookies & Milk With Santa

On Saturday 12/6 at the Treehouse Museum they had their annual CoOkIeS & MiLk W/ SaNtA. It takes place after hours and is for members only. Since we are members we got to go! Not only can you do all the fun activities they already have they had cookies & milk, Christmas crafts and games. You also got to sing songs with Santa. Emma loved the Santa part and the cookies! She loves playing there too so had a good time running around. She was not really feeling well so we had to go out to the car early for a bottle, snuggly blanket and a movie. Ethan LOVED it, he had so much fun with all the activities and playing.

Our Finished Christmas Tree

I realized I never put up a finished picture of our tree. After the kiddos went to bed my mom and myself did some tweaking... since everything was pretty much in a clump. Now of course the bottom 2 feet of the tree is missing/broken/rearranged, but for the first night it looked pretty fabulous. I love our tree... its a tall skinny one that is color coordinated. Love it...well the top half anyway ;)

Festival Of Trees

Today we went to the Festival of Trees, the kids were a little on the cranky side but it is a new Family Tradition that we started last year. Emma liked the Care Bear tree a lot and any time she saw Santa she said "HO HO HO". Quick run down of what the festival is for non Utah people... People decorate Christmas trees, wreaths & gingerbread houses and they are put up for sale. The time and money put into some of these amazing trees/wreaths/houses is amazing and sometimes mind boggling!! They also usually have items with the tree as part of dontation to the festival. Some of these trees sale for $2000+ but all the proceeds go to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT (they also sale boutique stuff, candy, activities for the kids and concessions all benefiting PCMC). Each tree & wreath is dedicated to someone, some are sick children and some are children that have passed away. Others dedicate them in memory people of all ages. There are so many beautiful trees to look at and such a wonderful cause.

As I said, we decided last year to make this a tradition. Unfortunately we have spent a lot of time at Primary with Emma, hospital stays, surgery, testing, appointments etc. They have always been so wonderful to Emma and myself, we feel so blessed that we have such a wonderful children's hospital so close by.
The pics aren't the highest quality because I forgot to charge the camera and had to use my phone. I put a pics of my 2 favorite trees and the one Em loved (Care Bears).
